Change

If the stars had eyes to see,
Would they look down at me
Would they like how I've become?
Or would they prefer to look at the sun?

If the wind had lungs to speak
Would they tell me that I was weak
Would they sing me a melody
Or would they make me sound like nobody

If the rain had a heart
Would they split mine apart?
Would they choose to fall on me
And give me love as a new start?

If I were to look upon myself
Would I still look like the person in the picture on the shelf
Have I changed so much that I can't even recognize
The person I now look upon, terrified.

Change shouldn't be a bad thing
If your heart wants to harmonize, let it sing,
You shouldn't change for anyone
But the heart of only one

Yourself
