If I Were An Alarm

If I were an alarm...

If I were an alarm I'd be abused
I get slapped in the morning
Just so people can snooze
When I think the pain will stop
Well...It's only begun

At my school everyone thinks I'm uncool
They stare in disgust as I sing out, "Riiiinnnnggg!"
They cover their ears so they can't hear
The voice of my soul I've had since birth

There's a secret they don't know about me
I'm partially deaf and have no eyes to see
So how do I know they laugh and make fun of me?
Why it's the way I'm built you see.

I''m activated by people's emotions.
When they're sad, mad, upset, or confused
Well all of that goes to my roots

It usually takes about an hour
When I'm full, I bring out my power
The emotions are all in one song
That can be even louder than a dong

So whether you like it or not
People know I'm not going to stop
For as long as I have thoughts
My power will never drain out!
