Struck

Struck (For Emily)

Love’s coil hath wrapped around,
my heart so very tight.
For somebody I have found,
an angel of the light

Wingless she still flies,
above and beyond the rest.
Her beautify knows no bounds
topping even the very best

Her songlike voice rings
so fervent, sweet, and smooth.
Like a river running,
my mind ever does it soothe

And even in the dark
when no hope is present found,
you hold my spirits high,
like a goddess crowned.

Descended from above,
a path unknown to man
ahold you took of me,
newly woven is my plan.

So on and on you fly
your careful wings drawn out.
Are you not an angel?
Never less has been my doubt.

Before your grace I cower
lost as if in foreign lands,
I simply hope you guide me
please take me in your hands

and teach me your perfection,
show me your unearthly ways.
Allow me never to lose sight,
for you my Love, I praise

Charlie, wow, you got hit pretty hard. Love this, .. I don't know if i've ever been struck with love this way... HAHA, it seems like you had fun, writing this poem, I believe it's a true experience. XOX~ Linda

Put a picture into my mind of a love I once knew decades ago. Gone now lost forever as time came and took her on to her reward. That glimpse was bitter sweet but the sweetness weighed a ton while the bitter hardly an ounce. Thanks and that was a very nice inspiration you had and that you just gave! Robert
