To My Son
Son, you're getting married in June
Beneath a golden sun and silvery moon.
The weather may not turn out your way,
But I know it still will be a special day.
This is the girl you chose as your wife,
Be kind and understanding as you venture through life.
And now, very sincerely, I wish you the best,
It's up to you to fulfill the rest.
There's still so much more that I could say,
But I will leave that for another day.
Son I know you have a voice,
I also know you made a good choice.
In June you will start to live a different life,
With Jessie now, as your new wife.
