Tired Eyed Chicana

It's 3am in this cold dark place and my eyes have yet to shut. So there will be no
dreams of better places and things to come. Now it's 4am as I go to brush my
teeth I look up from the sink at the reflection of a tired eye chicana girl. In less
then seven hours I'll be standing in front of the one person that can say, "Time
served, you are free to go," or turn around and give me more time in this cold
dark hell whole. Long ride back to what is my home for now, dealing with loud
rude men behind me yelling and barking nasty coments like, " Show me what
you got Miss. Thang." Thirteen hours later,I'm finally back in G~Dorm with tears
rolling down my face knowing that I'm gonna take the blame for something I did
not do. As I lay down to try to sleep I keep wondering when the day will come that
this tired eye chicana will awake from a bad dream of a hell whole that's cold.
