A New Meaning
I walk around carrying the weight of the universe on my shoulders,
Not knowing that with each day going by I grow a little colder.
Each breathe I take feels like there’s iron against my chest,
And each step I attempt makes it impossible for my legs to rest.
For as long as I remember I chose to follow a life of being solo,
Head high and a cute smile attached with the best polo.
With so much built in anger darkness decided to surround my life,
But with so much will-power and determination it will never consume my life.
Since you stepped into my life I felt everything except for me being cold,
I stood by without regrets regardless of what I was being told.
From the time you came and the time you left there's one thing you should remember,
No love was lost cause no love was found is something you need to consider.
With lies you may get ahead in the world but you can never go back,
Overtime you're preparing a grave so be ready to rest on your back.
I never understood how people play with fire and expect not to suffer a degree,
That then causes you to lose beauty and your door can only be used with a skeleton key.
So many people expect for D-Love to sit back and follow up to his name,
But what ya'll don't know is he can't no longer take in all the false blame.
Regardless after midnight D-Nasty will always get his,
But he'd appreciate life more if people would just mind their own biz.
No matter what you say people will always have a private world to escape to,
Just to be alone but the challenges that come I'll still see them through.
I've been told that most of everything about is very elegant,
That's why I have changed my name to L.Q. ....eLoQuent.
