Autumn Dance

They fall gently as of softly fallen snow. Then lay upon the solemn earth for a time, until winds pick them up and let them dance here, there and everywhere. Winds swirl, tossing those pretty leaves in a whirl. As if dancing a hurried waltz, the music too timely to wait, for a settling change of winter snows.

Bare branches; leaves scattered, as Autumn that has come and gone. A chill in the crisp morning air, bright blue skies shown with a golden sun shining bright. Morning has bid farewell, afternoon sun bright on leaves that hang alone, no where to go till the final frost that sets them free, then scurries them about and the north winds carry’s them away, then gone is the Autumn day.
