Going Home

My heart is split between two states
Stretched for two thousand miles
Always having to board an airplane to go home
To visit my sister and childhood best friends
But just like spelling racecar backwards
I'll end up where I began
Boarding an airplane to go home
To my parents and good friends
It hurts to know despite the way I go
The people most important to me
Are on the other end
