Why Can'T I Get You Out of My Head

Why can't I get you out of my head
It hurts so bad when I think of what you did
I thought our love was strong
I thought our love was pure
My love is still there
But yours has gone away
When I see you I think
What we could have been
When I look at the kids
I see you
I begin to cry
I have to be strong
To show them daddy's not weak
But I can't not think of you
My heart has been broken
It will never heal
Why can't I get you out of my head
When Madison see's me cry
She asks why
Why are you crying Daddy
I tell her daddy is hurting
She say do you have a boo boo
I say yes in my heart
There is no fix for that
Then she says
Daddy I'll kiss it and make it better
In my head I think
Why can't you care like she does
I wish one day
I will have you in my arms again
I think of you all the time
My whole life I wanted a family
I had one a beautiful wife and two beautiful kids
Now since you are gone
I don't know what to do
Why can't I get you out of my head
Seven years thrown down the drain
How can you just walk away
And not look back
You don't under stand
How much I love you
I never really knew until you were gone
It hurts so bad
I want my Family back again
Why can't I get you out of my head

Thank you for sharing your poetry with us and may you always find the inspiration to continue with your writing endeavors whatever they may be. Love, Carol
