Forgotten Keys

I avoided keys of my car all
night; stayed far away
from markers and pens and
bits of crayolas that are
lost somewhere in the
garage. I knew what my
fingers would write if
I let them, so by breaking them
into razor-edged shapes,
this overused table would
remain antiseptic. Musings tried to
creep without being so damn
introspective; now my
mind is full of smudged lines,
broken sentences, and I
hardly remember where
on earth did my hands
put all the other three keys to
the doors, hallway, closets?

Very 'outside the box', Manny, but I enjoyed your poem very much. Congrats on your placement on John's short list of winners! Sandra

A sadly whimsical, question posing write. A very unique take on the three keys theme. thanks for participating in the contest.
