It Never Was

I MUST HAVE BEEN BLIND NOT TO SEE

THE HEADLIGHTS UP AHEAD OF HOW IT WAS TO BE

TALL,DARK AND HANDSOME YOU WOULD AGREE

BUT ALL HE WAS, IS NOW A DREAM TO ME

BACK THEN, IT WAS YOUR LOVE THAT SET ME FREE

WHEN I THINK OF IT TODAY, I JUST COUNT TO THREE

AND ALL THOSE THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS JUST FLEE

WHATS LEFT IN MY WORLD IS MY OWN REALITY


IT TOOK A WHILE TO SOOTHE  THE HURT, BUT I CAN GUARANTEE

IT DID WORK! THANKS TO REVENGE, YES THAT WAS THE KEY 
(WHY IS THIS FEELING SUCH A MYSTERY?)

NO MORE WILL I RESPOND TO THE SMOOTHE STARE I FANCY

WHICH ALWAYS CAUSED A WOBBLE AT MY KNEE

BECAUSE NOW,  I’M A STRONGER LADY.
