This Afternoon Tuesday 22nd July 2014
This afternoon as I rested in bed
I thought only, and only of you;
my imagination ran away with me
confused I didn’t know what to do.
I felt your warm body at my side
I could smell your rich body fragrance
then the aches in my heart began
I’m sure I thought I was in a trance.
I know you live far away from me
however I sensed you in my bed
I felt your sultry breath on my neck
I felt in comfort but not in dread.
Then I finally dozed off, I think
for I was talking to you while you smiled
I also was holding you and we were kissing
I was in paradise, I felt completely beguiled.
No words I can tell without truth
the heart aches and my eyes weeps
though only an illusion of some sort
I'll cherish the memory for my joy leaps.
As I write this I'll send you kisses of passion
they won't reach you it's the thought that counts
they will hit my monitor screen and vanish
I will weep, weep, weep, and my sadness amounts.
