Ode To Day

I see morning
as he holds onto his daily prayers.
I idle away the time at the first intersection...
Cape Town N1
I pray too
that I will make it through
early
with a smile and a plan.
Pause. Stop.
When the light turns 
we check ourselves 
put foot 
go
