Where Did I Miss It

Just how real can it get I ask myself,
Living through these feelings That I have never felt.
Finding there are more times I am unable to do,
The things I enjoy and things that I peruse.
How could I have not seen this coming on,
Its been here right in front of me for so long.
To imagine all the time I have wasted believing its ok,'
My life slipping through my fingers day after day.
So much took for granted ignoring what it cost,
those that I cherished are now forever lost.
