Misunderstood

By you everybody
you treat me like I'm an outcast
I tell you I'm only misunderstood
I'm normal, i can read, and write,
I'm not dumb.
Misunderstood
You should know how it feels
to have people point and stare
"She's a Hoe they say."
yet I'm only
Misunderstood
My family doesn't even know me
yes I love guys and girls
yes I love the way I dress
my clothes express me.
I'm only Misunderstood
by you & them
and sometimes
EVEN ME!!!

Lovely write Brianna! Love your take on the theme - people tend to shun that which they don't understand. Well written poem!

Well done, nice cadence despite being "just" normal speech, did you consider stresses if not you have some natural talent. Love the ambiguity of the last two words, demonstrating angst and confusion concerning self identity, perhaps some inner conflict worth exploring further.et
