Best Wishes

I don’t dislike my enemy, that word won’t justice serve,
I loathe, despise, I can’t abide…these terms he does deserve.
I’ll try to be the better man, to say “live and let live”,
To let bygones be bygones to, if not forget, forgive.

To that end I’ll wish on him, on that hellspawn of a man,
Sincerest hopes that he may spend a long life in the can.
May he be blessed with progeny whose feelings rival mine,
May he enjoy th’experience of punishment divine.

May he succeed with partners who have many STDs,
May he have brand-name garments ridden through with ticks and fleas.
I pray his every asset be seized by the IRS…
That he finds courage and the balls to all his crimes confess.

I wish him every happiness reserved for such damned souls,
I hope th’inferno keeps him warm and toasty on its coals.
I guess perhaps I’m not yet primed t'forgive my enemy,
It may be when his body’s cold that hate will die…we’ll see.
