The Haunting of Winter

Amidst the low, soft sound of falling snow,
A voice it whispers soft and low,
But its just a whisper nothing more,
Telling the secrets of days before,

It tells of people, times and places,
Half forgotten names and faces,
Almost buried in the cold,
Names in stone and times of old,

For in this town when darkness fell,
Many odd creatures here did dwell,
Don't go outside after night falls,
To be lured away by the dark ones calls,

The voice it tells of these if you care,
Of footsteps behind you when no one is there,
Of being lost its winters white snow,
Its hard to find your way, you know,

This town holds many ghost of those,
Who disappeared but how no one knows,
They wonder restlessly about,
Winters cold it brings them out,

But I must warn you about these voices,
They lost themselves by thougtless choices,
They'll try to make you believe them,
Follow them unknowingly, unable to leave them,

You'll become what they have you see,
A ghostly impression no longer free,
And now that I have explained this to you,
The snow is calling me out do you want to come to?
