A Gamble of the Heart

Such a crying shame, this song is over played,
And the progress we’ve made is now shoved down the drain.
Some of us win, some of us lose,
Whose back was stabbed first?
Who’s quicker to move?
Who’s genuine and honest, which one’s telling lies,
How many have fallen, how many have cried?
They say “wild horses couldn’t drag me away”.
How many of us commit,
How many of us stray?
Who’s willing to sacrifice, for the one they love,
Who’s waiting for a sign to show up from above?
Some people win, some people lose,
Some people can’t decide, others simply choose.
Love can be a losing game, with the right one you might win,
Since nothing is certain, you simply hold the choice to begin.
