In Absence

It felt odd,
going to be without you.
My legs tucked and curled around
my body pillow felt soft, but unlike
your familiar hands.
gentle hands that often cradled me to sleep.
Hands that did much more than this
pillow ever could, but will have to do for now,
for all that's left is the scent of
your head that laid here
last night or is it just a memory of you
gone so many nights ago

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed."
