Me To Me

Working day and night for minimum wage,
Building rage because the feeling of being locked in a cage,
Dreaming of my time on stage.

I don't want this life forever!
Struggling to keep it together,
In a relationship that wont last a day past forever!

Hair on fleek, swag on 110,
soul on 0%, brain near the end.

Pass the Kush, I'm tired of living in the fallacies of this dry ass reality.

"Turn up, burn up"... This ain't me! I can't even look at my reflection in the mirror and not shatter it with disgrace. DISGRACE.

Thoughts. I have about 110, that wont see the day of light, just the pad and pen.

Lost in a whirlwind, this world wont protect me.
Equivalent to a shoal of piranhas eating my brain, which,
unanatomically drains my heart.
My heart, beating fast at thoughts of my past, sending fear to my future.

The obstruction of vision, causing the dread of the next moment. Content with two feet glued to the ground because anxiety of the next step could be turmoil.

Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc. Time is ticking, this is sickening!
My accomplishments, I have none, they're missing.
My peers, look at them!
Instagram famous, living life shameless.

But that ain't me.
I'm on a soul search, trying to break free.
Free of society withhold,
Free of material things and the stress and confusion it brings.

There's a storm in my soul, and I can't swim. The world won't save me!

Jah, Jah can you hear me? I need you to guide me through reality,
because sadly, I need you badly.
