Castle in The Sky

Somewhere far away from here
I saw your beating heart
suspended in the sky
like the sunlight caught my eye
thunder rumbling with the beat
lighting grounds me to my feet
castles in the clouds
I saw where you live now
where all the angles meet
you allowed me to look
my eyes melted in defeat
afraid of what you’d say
I dove off the clouds
to the cliffs of hell
listening as I pray
weeping for what may
I fell for a hundred years
wishing every second you were here
saw my walls caving in
is this the beginning to my end?

Then you appeared
took you years
standing in the air
you drew your heart in my hair
felt us dance as we fell to hell
you changed me to a dress
like a beauty at a ball
whispered in my ear
“You’re the reason for my castle in the sky,
I built it for you, for your dreams to come true.
A garden, a fountain, the library you love.
A cloud a day to the ocean to play, a secret carriage to take your breath away.
Come take your place as my queen, so I can fulfill your every dream.”
