The Taste Of New

Today I stand on my own
I put you in the back
behind me
in the past
where you will now roam
you no longer belong in my home
No longer do I need the abuse
There is no use
I will be on my own
to take on the world
as the woman I am
I will be brave among the storm and carry on
For in my heart I am one
one with the Earth, moon, and stars
I will carry my self in the way I move among the wind
I shall breathe in the aroma that breathes fresh air among my skin
