The Frog

The Frog

Hippity hop,
From rock to rock,
He came to me.
I stared in wonder,
Watched him in all his splendor.
Suddenly he spoke,
I thought “I haven’t gone crazy I hope”.
He said “you are not crazy,
But you sure have become lazy.”
You see his pond had became green,
In weeks it had not be cleaned.
I glanced at him in shock,
He said “don’t waste the clock.
If I die,
In who would you confide?”
You see I told him of all my troubles,
And all of my childhood stumbles.
Then hippity hop,
From rock to rock,
He went away.
For a moment I did not sway.
Then I cleaned his pond,
that’s how I did respond.
