happy, content
is what you are.
time well spent.
you can go so far.
meet a boy
and hes just so perfect.
he brings you even more joy,
even more comfort.
but, is that really
what its like?
what do people not see?
how many violent fights?
hit after hit after hit.
over and over again.
scream out please stop it
fight, but never win.
with each day,
your smile fades a little more.
you're not okay
your bruised and sore.
black and blue
exposed, violated
whats a darling to do.
every day your hated.
your knees all scraped
but smile at school
battered and raped
by Mr. wonderful.
you start to show
and he gets mad
its got to go.
says the dad.
a different feeling
in your stomach
this certain swing
caused a horrid wreck.
heartbreak kills
worse then physical pain.
so you took the pills,
yourself you slain.
