Dead End
I’m at a dead end in my life.
No road ahead, and no way out.
The darkness all around me screams
You’re here to stay!
You can’t get out!
There won’t be day!
They Kill my freedom with my doubt.
My body aches, my heart is broken
I seem so hopeless in the night
I think about my life; unspoken.
It rattles constantly in my mind
But wait! There over the horizon
I see dawn’s first breaking light!
There still is hope! And now I know it!
There is another way about!
With all the darkness that surround me
I could not see the shallow way
It’s leading me up to a mountain
The sign ahead says Calvery.
I run as fast as my feet can take me
Its getting harder by the step
I lift my eyes and can’t believe what I see!
Christ on the cross dying there for me!
He had to die so I would be free.
So I wound sit on no dead end.
And this is what I want you to see;
After night, there will be day.
There is a solution to a problem!
Just call to Him, with no delay
He’ll help you get a breakthrough
In your own life’s dead end.
