Her Way to Listen

A mother with impaired hearing
Inside her womb, you hear what she feels
She lets you hear to influence your emotions
You usually respond with an increase heart rate

Now a silent world filled her life with tenderness
She’s trying to revive the lively atmosphere
Silently wiping her tears of disappointment
What she hears must all be relayed on you

She can’t tell what the alarming sound is
But she listens to her intuition
When you were still young, she was your ears
A slip of the ear, her other senses would tell

Now she can’t hear the echo of what have said
So out you will hear her say it again
Repeating stories all over again
The reason your time is here as her way to listen

Hearing when lost pushes the self to be much sensitive and be more vigilant... listening iz a key to understanding... ...and sometimes intuition can be true esp for mothers... a good take on the theme.. :)~ olive eloisa

A truly perceptive write, kabayan. Yes, the hearing impaired are said to have their other senses heightened and intuition more developed. Much more if one is the mother. How noble it is for the child who's grown to find the time to listen to her in the sunset of her days. The old need it as much as we needed them to listen when we were young. This is a very good Mother's Day tribute. A 7. Let's keep penning, kabayan! Kim :-)
