Trailing ethereal emotion

A body fashioned out of the celestials,
The moon in your smile,
The stars in your eyes,
The sun in your lips.

But even the moon, stars, and the sun
take turns to reign in time.
Their longevity defined by day and night,
So as to bring clarity to eternity.

Yet your emotions remain a mystery,
an ambiguity, and a thing unseen,
Concealing them from every word you speak,
Making everything you say seem platonic.

Sending my soul into the abyss,
And landing in a theater of confusion,
My existence playing the part of curiosity,
And my mind that of anxiety,
Burdened like someone seeking absolution from a deity.

What can I do or say to see a little emotion?
Your control of your emotions
Is starving my soul of inspiration,
My artistry bereft of truth
Ever since I met you.

Every mirror is an attempt at redemption.
Please just show a little emotion,
So I can start my journey to salvation.

What can I give to see a little emotion?
My mind?
But you already live rent-free in my head.
Maybe I'll give my mirrors instead,
So that we can run commentary over my anguish,
In the hope that I'll finally open the floodgates of your humanity.
