As I am

I could write really long poems
about the fear of growing old
about everything getting older and duller

like I've seen some people do
and they make poetry books too
but rarely do
they write haiku

instead they forget
everything that connects them
to humanity

and sleep a silent dream of heaven's gate, to bring the philosopher's mind at ease
but rare is it for men to trust their fate, and only children have a world to please

that's just what I think.
I do not feign ignorance of the enternal lonesome that is conscious, intentional life,
but I choose indifference to be best suited for me.
