Wintering away

Life grabbed me hard by the balls, not in the way that feels good and right.
The mist of darkness in wintertime, when the cold winds fully hasnt blown in the snowstorm to cover our summer sins and regret.
We tend to fail to heed the call, to enjoy our wait for this darkness, this unfathomable coldness, to savor each and all these moments of utter silence, that before led us to despair and heartfeld tears, now, with older and wiser eyes, we now can sit back.
We let the silence come without feeling muted.
We let the darkness creep in without feeling haunted.
We let the cold embrace the walls without fearing to turn to ice anymore inside.
We embrace it, we live alongside it, we own it.

Winter

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
