From This Earthly Place and Into the Eternal Blue

Our time was short, but it was never meaningless..
Your demons kept you on the run,
while mine pushed me towards self-destruction..
We collided and yet came out unscathed,
the pain fell to others..
My shame was a heavy skin, it was the start of the healing..
The bottle and drugs thrown from these hands..
Time continued it's march..
You would come to my mind like an old song
I would wonder what became of you, where did life take you?
The answer was delivered...
It was read in black and white,
Goodbye to the day, hello to the long goodnight...
I pray that peace finally found you,
that angels finally chased the demons away..
that your heart forgave..
that tears stopped falling..
that your voice joined the choir..
that your wings unfurled and lifted you,
from this earthly place and into the eternal blue....TAH

This touches the soft spot of my heart ..I can feel the goodbye..the letting go without wanting to let go...Heartwrenchingly sad and beautiful .

Dear Tobey, I am so sorry for your loss. Many emotions tangle through this and I can feel your heart. Time heals all wounds, but sometimes- those memories flood the soul. ~ Brandy
