Anatomy of Tears

Tiny droplets of salt
Cling on the tip of eyelashes
Hanging valiantly
Until a blink of eye
Makes them jump
Over the cheeks
To die on the lips
It is a mirror
Of seasons
That fills our life
Sadness
Happiness
To utmost surprise
A drop says it all
Just a drop or two
To define an expression
Or a thunderous outpour
From reddened eyes
Speak silent volumes
Of feelings.
Tears are not racist
They are broad minded
Resides in every eye
Rich or poor
High or low caste
Tears are just tears
Colourless
Flawless drops.
