Timelapse

You caught me running, constantly looking back,
tears merging within the rain.
If I took a leap, would I fly?
Left behind, the mole above your lip, laughter in your eyes,
jaded progression.
It could have been so much better.
Saturated flashes
gulping the wind,
oxygen overwhelming the lungs,
heavy steps unnoticed by the blurs
that were once souls, as I,
Pace quickens.
her words in the air: "nothing would be different."
If only to break out from this sequence,
content with vivid dreams.
How I'd shout, in slow motion, "reset time!"
Not captured,
it will be over and done with in a few moments,
cynical development, the need to press rewind,
heart pounding,
cannot escape their essence,
anything added is just delusional baggage, you know I am right.
I just wanted to make you something beautiful,
never gave me the time to,
unfamiliar end, everything comes to a halt
the feeling remains.
Were you my rock?
I miss your wonderful surroundings.
Pull me out of this weather
I would happily lose my breath if jogging by your side
rekindled time lapse,
unfortunately,
only when I sleep.
Behind the scenes, getting older,
faces come and go,
stuck looking at you
swifting through the footage echoing of what could of been
searching for a solace a new,
documented...
Does rain bring change? repeat,
Does rain bring change?
