My Wish

It’s just another wish you see
A dreamt that will never come true
It’s just another wish of mine
My gray skies will never be blue
Because you left our happy home
Never to return

I wish you were holding me close
Never letting go
Your touch would take away my fears
A cocoon of love so tight

I wish you could see
All that I have to give
I cannot let this be
Without your love, it’s hard to live

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
