Why

I don't know why I am the way I am.
I don't know why I talk the way I talk.
And walk the way I walk.

I don't know why I prefer movies over books.
I don't know why I cry over my looks.

I had lost myself for a long time.
But now, it's my time to shine.

I will walk with my head up.
I will wave to strangers in the street.
I will rejoice when I want to.
I won't always dress as neat.

I'm living for myself.
I wouldn't rather be anyone else.

When I get told "you act too old" or "your heart has gotten so cold".
I will look around.
I will sing a beautiful sound.
I will be happy that I stuck around.
I will be happy to finally be found.
