A Child

I am a child with many
dreams,
When you look at me, you'll
know what I mean;
I am a child who needs care
and understanding,
I don't need any toys, just
love and their parenting.

I used to be with my friends
all day long,
No one stops me for they're
busy and gone,
My mom with her group of
friends and my dad in his
work,
No one even tried to read
me a book.

I used to be with my toys,
With my teddy, we share all
these joys;
The attention that I need are
tears that I shed,
That only my bear sees, not
like my parents did.

When I was sick, they're on
my side,
They don't feel how happy I
am inside;
They've showed their love
for me unlike before,
''Oh! How am I.'' as I hugged
them and cried with joy.
