Longing

I long for you, my one and only
Who without I’d be ever so lonely
Hand in hand, our souls walked
Together forever, oh, never forgot
If only, if only I could forget!
Our memories
Only then i won’t regret
The time passed
The hours I cast
Into my work
Instead of our past!
Oh, if only our love could last
Past those stolen moments
The looks we passed
But minutes, not hours remain
In our love, oh forever be stained
As the virus raged
Us hand in hand
If only immune, it would do no bad
But sadly not, so together we last
Arm in arm, as our love passed!
But after that, i swear no other
Could ever remove
The time I suffered
As our journey ends, another starts
Together forever, our life forgot
Together forever, as overhead they pass!
The angels of life, and death as they cast
A never ending shadow
For two never ending souls
In a never ending heaven, a never ending world
And to each other we say “is this the end?”
So, from one side, we look to the other
We see nothing but happiness
And so our hearts flutter!
So together our souls drift
Through never ending time
With this never ending gift
