Demon of Disgrace

Rhythmatic, systematic, prolonged addiction,
Hovering, suffering, social restriction.
Living as a hermit in a man-made shell,
Fatigue on a trapeze of depression and hell.

Adrenaline junky, sober chunky, branded unfortunate.
Hot hitter, cold and bitter, a disbanded subordinate.
Scared with a modern day scarlet letter,
'A' for Addiction, the red gleams ever better.

Questioning existence,
Drug consumption persistence...

Mother crying...
...Father dying...
...Angels sighing...

People pass.
Preachers fast.
Stares cast.

Shadow of death creeps with arms wide open,
The only arms out, all others crossed or broken.
Chilled icy breath, breathing a sickly demise,
Few people gather to honor the publicly despised.
Society closed, casket closed, Earth enclosing soon,
Destory this demon before looking up from a tomb.
