Studio Home

A tiny room to fill, still bare and inviting
mother and child in a new place
the walls were bare and a dirty white
yet I seemed to stare at them each night
There was a tiny old homey stove
but we didnt have gas to make it light
There was a little tiny table
However there were never dinners upon it
we had a tub that i loved
old yet warm
from the corners to the door
that place was a new home
yet it never seemed to last
we left that place like we had the last
left for another path
but i left behind something special
a home if possible

Thank you for sharing your heart with us through your poetry here at PoetrySoup Tabitha. My time for reading and commenting will be short until after the New Year. So, today I send a wish from my house to yours. Have a Joyous Holiday and a Happy New Year. Please remember the sick and hungry in your prayers daily. Do all you can to help in anyway you can. Love and blessing, Carol and Family (Your smile can warm a heart)
