Break the Mirror

Glancing at the mirror
This body I see
Am aware I am not this body
What I see is my cloak, not me
O my Soul I long to see thee

Many easy pathways leading to you,
I have read in scriptures
Gyana yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga
I tried and failed in each of them

Reading without practicing, a stupidity
I realised Gyana Yoga is not for me

You exist within all
Consciously aware and dedicating all work as service to you karmayoga seemed easy initially but later I became finicky
Everything seemed imperfect
I stopped

Bhakti Yoga an easy way, you have to merely love almighty selflessly
Repose faith in Him, surrender unto Him
Salvation comes easily

This was easier said than done
I was always lamenting before God for solving my problems
I was neither selfless nor had faith

Finally I thought I'll pursue Namasmaran
Continuosly chant Ram Ram Ram
Easily achieve salvation
But full time chanting isn't easy
As tough as thought free meditation

Conditioned since ages
Having taken innumerable births
Wonderful world and senses enticing me
Salvation seems near impossible

I wish I could break all illusions
Look in the mirror and see my true reflection
I guess I lack sincerity, dedication and perseverance
