Where Did You Go

I wish you still lived in my bed
But you only live in my head
Do you miss me
Like I miss you?

I can’t sleep without imagining your lips
But then the pretence slips
And I’m all alone
And you don’t pick up the phone

I need to learn to not feel empty without you
But right now I don’t know how to
So I stare at the picture of us
And try not to cuss

Because my love for you was so deep
That the ocean was jealous
Tears roll down my cheeks
Like they’ve been doing for the past few weeks

And I think I can’t accept you’ve left
Because that would mean we’re finally done
Because it might mean all I was to you was a little fun
But you’ve up and run
