Pleased

If it pleases you,
A midnight walk
If it eases you,
A light breezy talk
If it sparks your fire
If it takes you higher
There are things said and done after dark
A song only we share
A hearts dance of endless care
Some regret and some satisfaction
Some sweat and some salty action
Some pleasure and pain.
Days of sun.
Nights of sultry steam and rain.
We will hold hands and talk of days gone by
We will stop by your parents stone for one last goodbye
We will sit with our faces to the sun
We will live this life as one
Rocking chairs and grand-babies some day
If it pleases you, will you take me forever on this day?
