In Love Is There Room For Second Chances?

To your image I awake,
So deeply drowned by
thoughts of you.
For nothing compares to the sadness I feel,
Bearing all within.
In fear of getting hurt, I selfishly closed my heart.
The irony- I brought more heartache than I'veever known.
Sadness takes over,
And lingers on and on.
Oh, to turn back the hands of time
I'd prove my heart's feelings true.
In this world we all make mistakes.
For those who show sincere remorse,
Who have been shaken to the core-
I can't help but wonder,
Is there any hope for second chances?

I hope,in time,you understand,
I never meant to hurt you,and I never wanted to cause you pain.
If you would forgive me,
Turn a new page and begin a new chapter with me-
I promise to be there always-
To hold your hand through it all-
And to never give a reason to distrust me. I

'll be your sunshine in the morning,
Your happy thought to get through the day,
Your heart and soul when you need me,
And the love in your heart to stay-
Loving you more,
Each passing day.
