I Wish I Knew

How did you feel?
Why didn't you?

               I wish i knew.
               I wish I knew.

Did you love me
like I loved you?

               I wish I knew.
               I wish I knew.

Were you sad
the day I wed?

               I wish I knew.
               I wish I knew.

Did you long
to share my bed?
                
               I wish I knew.
               I wish I knew.

Though we each took
a different way,

               I wish I knew.
               I wish I knew.

I wonder still
what you would say.

               I wish I knew.

But my true love
I've married him, so,

                I hope you know.

Though I loved you once
I've let you go.
