The Man We Left Behind

I can still hear him calling in the night,

He didn't even put up a fight,

I hear my conscience talking in my head,

I think maybe I should go to bed,

I didn't think it would come to this,

It started with one simple kiss,

I couldn't go back after what I did,

I just had to get everything hid,

Eventually he would just die,

But in time I would have to tell many lies,

This is the story of  the man we left behind,

And man he made me lose my mind,
