Voice From Above

One night as I lay asleep in bed,
I heard a noise right close to my head.
Afraid to move I stayed real still,
What if something bad was in God’s will?

Tis’ bad to think that I might die,
It doesn’t seem possible, I don’t know why.
I guess you could say that I’m afraid,
But why would God harm something he made?

“Patience you must have” the bible does say,
But it’s hard to do this when life doesn’t go my way.
I pray to God but nothing do I hear,
Doesn’t He see all the things that I fear?

One night as I lay asleep in bed,
I heard a noise right close to my head.
“I heard you my child, no do not be dismayed,
By the blood of my Son, you have been saved!”
