the hail song

I left a worried little girl out in the fighting lines
And she begged me not to go
I tried telling her I barely even know her now
But we both know...

And you hold me
And you hold me
And you hold me

And it's gonna be a
Hail of a long time
A hail of a long time before
A hail of a long time....

I left a troubled lion
Crying on the side lines
And he threatened me not to try

And Lord knows there's a devil inside of me
Telling me all the things I don't deserve

Then you hold me
Then you hold me
Then you hold me

I ask how long, how long will you...
A
Hail of a
Long time
