Rats

Rats
I can hear the rats again, fighting in the ceiling
That’s not a metaphor, they’re really up there screaming.

I’m laughing while I watch you cry,
You’re laughing while you watch me die.

The sink is leaking and I can’t stop the dripping
The floor’s collapsing and I can’t stop the slipping

We’re laughing while it doesn’t dry
The rats are here, the end is nigh.
