I am a newcomer to poetry but not to writing.  I have written short plays, short stories and many comic sketches for myself and others.  I am a performer and along with writing poems I like to recite them.  When the pandemic began and Zoom came in to style, a friend of mine started a poetry reading group that meets every two weeks on a Sunday.  We each read a poem or short story and then discuss it.  As the weeks have gone by I have begun writing my own poems and  I have fallen in love with the art form, with telling my stories poetically.  I have begun writing a book called, "Aunt Minnie's Musings".  The book will becomprised of my poetry, some of the monologues I have written, very short stories and maybe even a short play.
