Come Back To Me

The Ink Bottle sits, alone,
It’s only Companions,
The Feathered Pen,
The Paper Pad.

The Desk, once alive,
The Words,
No longer,
Written.

Love, abandon,
But wanting not,
The Freedom,
It has.

A Wooden Chair, dusty,
Reclines not,
For the Comfort,
Once given.

Time, a mystery gone,
With passing,
Never to be recovered,
Longing.

Days of gloom, waiting,
Shine not, The Light,
The Heart,
Once brightened.

Come back, to Me,
My words, of Joy,
Of Laughter,
Wisdom, once known.

Everything Is Alright

The wind blows it’s gentle breeze,
Rustling leaves here and there,
A horn beeps then another,
The city cries, why me, where.

Bring back the time,
Bring back the joy,
Know you are mine,
Children playing, catch my, toy.

Beauty all around,
Flowers still blooming,
Some so profound,
Winter is coming, she is, going.

In a split instant,
Love everywhere,
Get out your knickers,
So many do care, alone sitting, in his chair.

Get on a plane,
Come to me please,
It is starting to rain,
I am starting to sneeze, set your mind, at ease.

I am on the edge of no return,
Something must happen,
The wheels must churn,
In the misty moonlight, playing, everything, is alright.

You Will Be Missed

If you died today,
What would you think?
Where would you go?
Do you think, you would think?
I don’t know.

Look down upon, those you love.
Look down, look down,
From high above.
You see them grieving,
Hurting so much,
They regret your leaving,
They miss your touch.

Why oh why did you have to leave?
Come back come back,
Wipe their tears with your sleeve.
Give them a hug,
Tell them it’s alright.
It’s time to unplug.
The light is so bright.

They feel you here,
They feel you going.
Was a wonderful life,
One worth knowing.
Closer and closer,
To the light you go.
Brighter and brighter,
They will miss you so.

Time Consumes Life

Just one more time,
just one more breath,
just one more moment to remember the past,
lull in thy memories,
breathe in thy essence,
to look upon thy face,
 to know you still care,
to know what we had was special,
to be preserved in preferred memories.

Where I am going I know naught.
Floating as if in limpid water currents,
languor reaching but finding not,
solitary enraged soul longing for one more kiss,
one kiss whence naught.
Malformed monsters feast
upon the vermin ravishing mine soul,
my tender heart loathing sunset’s rays enfold,
nighttime beseech me, broken heart unfold.
Another night shine through tears,
summoned by memories a hundredfold,
 putrid time consumes life;
Cruel Life Sleeps.

My Sweet October

The sun rises,
The sun sets,
In between,
Life expressed.
Only time.

We live,
We die,
In between,
Life,
Only time.

Why,
Are you?

Sweet October,
Time after time,
Day after day,
I love you,
Every way.

But you had to go,
You left me here,
With all my fears,
With all my tears.

Memories,
Strong, forever,
A beautiful life,
Gone as if never.

Remember me,
Where are you,
A life so perfect,
A life so new?

Move on,
Another place,
Another time,
I will be with you.

My sweet October ….
Stay.

True Love This Time

Down the narrow stretches of life,
We glide.
Love and our partner,
Beside.
Timbers growing,
Strong,
We can never,
Go wrong.
Reaching,
To the Sky,
So pleasing,
To the Eye.
Whispering through,
The trees.
Only trying,
To please.
Carry me,
Away.
For here,
I cannot, Stay.

Now searching,
Never finding,
Never ending,
Never winning.
Missing,
What once was mine.
Longing,
For such a long time.
Wondering,
Who’s next in line.
Wanting,
True love this time.

And Then I Pray

You came into my life, why? I didn’t invite you, I never wanted you around, you
know this , but you will not leave, you don’t know how much I hate you, and yet I
don’t hate anyone or anything. When you hate, to me, it is the same as killing. If I
only knew how to kill you ……. It would have been done many times over. I awake
every morning and there you are, ready to make my life miserable, the one thing
you enjoy most in your life. Wherever I go, you follow bringing your misery into my
life. Why cant you just leave and leave me in peace? I fight with you every day, and
it hurts so much, so much it hurts to fight with anyone, even you. There is one
way and only one way to rid you of me. I think of this often, but then where would I
be? I would not be, because you are part of me, your name is bi-polar. Handed
down from my father and from his father, and from me to my son, but he refuses
to recognize you, so he fights you without help he could get. If he would only say I
know who you are. I hurt for him everyday, and then I pray.
Oh God please forgive me for what I have brought upon my son. Son, I love you,
and am so sorry for what you go through. Maybe someday we will talk again. Dad

The Good Ole Days

Do you ever think of the good ole days,
And what they really were?

Such peace and understanding,
Such joy filled our hearts,
No time for demanding,
How about a game of darts?

We all pulled together,
So no ONE did all the work.
The air so much cleaner,
No one went berserk.

Now you look around you,
Only if you dare,
It seems such an issue,
Doesn’t anyone care?

But we go on living,
That’s what they call it now,
Too much a misgiving,
Makes you wonder how.

Peace on earth,
Goodwill to men,
These are just words,
That have been.

So when you wake in the morning,
And breathe in your smog,
Your tale is dragging,
No time to jog.

Just for a second,
Think about life,
Think of your children,
Don’t forget your wife.

Think about living,
The best that you can.
Think about giving,
An extra hand.

What can you do,
About things as they are?
Maybe a new muffler,
On that Junker of a car.

Maybe a smile,
Wherever you are.
I have heard it contagious,
So be careful out there,
Some think it outrageous,
To show that you care.

Lets bring back the old days,
Lets breathe again,
Lets enjoy our life,
The best that we can.

A child dies in Africa,
Where are your children?

Coffee is coffee,
Honey surprise cinnamon,
Delightful at best.
