Colours

COLOURS....

Everything on this earth
Has a colour....
Don't you think so ?
Be it a flower, a leaf, a vine,
or an animal.
Or, be it the way you feel
Or what you do.

The bees and birds and blooms pretty
Carry hues that no artist could create
Out of his magic palette of colours,
Try as he might !

Autumn brings a myriad of colours,
Painting all the leaves of trees around
In vibrant hues that leave you pondering
On the wonder of nature's magical hand.

When you are happy and feel like laughing,
You want to dance to the tune of colours
That twirl in your heart and soul,
Like the merry carousel at the carnival.

When you are angry and start to spit fire,
Then your face go red and orange with ire
Your words come fast and furious
To land your peace of mind in a quagmire!

The sadness that you feel,
which sometimes creeps upon you
without a pass,
Brings the colours of deadened spirits,
And would leave you wrung out like a worn rag.

Can you feel the.....
   the white of peace,
      red of anger,
          grey of sad desolation,
            blue of the blues,
               green of sustenance,
black of hate and all that is hated,
and the myriad colours of love ?

Colours are all around us,
They merge and twirl and sway,
All around us all the time,
Creating the dance, that is.... Life.

Inspired

Sandali's Inspiration...

A stillness I don't understand,
A calm I cannot comprehend,
A breeze that brings a gentle message,
A voice that forces me to pay homage.

I listened then to the whispering sounds,
They shook and shattered within my bounds,
And as they scattered far and wide,
I felt my bones unleash an unseen fright!

Holding on, I felt them then,
The pain that breaks most men
My hands and feet ached from their touch,
But my eyes thrived and would not be hushed.

No pain, no gain they say,
Oh how I understood this now !
I would happily spend my pay,
To see these wonders held at bay !

Its the adrenaline rush of danger,
Knowledge that I'm no more a stranger
I know now to slide down and hold on,
Till the beauty I found is once more, born.....

Trials and Tribulations

Trials And Tribulations

Love comes in many shapes....
As many shapes as hate.
For they are inseperable in
What we call on this earth, A Life.

Sadness follows close behind,
This giant feeling we call happiness.
They are, but a hair's width apart,
In most times of life.
When we cannot seperate them
With a will of own, then it is sad....

Feelings and emotions are
what we humans fashion our lives on.
We shape our spaces
With any feeling that we give power to,
Or deign to identify.

When pain, hate, sadness skips in
Close behind pleasure, love and happiness,
We do not want to entertain the former,
For we are ready to welcome the latter.

Yet, come to think of it,
The opposite give life to similar.
Then and therefore,
We are but powerless to banish
The one we do not want !

So we learn ......
To endure, to make do, to live with,
to forget, and to learn to try to change,
What we do not like.
Such are the tribulations of our life....

Random Thoughts

RANDOM THOUGHTS...

The skies are pregnant with unborn rains,
Winds are blowing, carrying with them,
The hints of an evening
That is cool and cozy and wet.

Falling....falling....little drops of water,
Jumping and crashing and hopping
Off and about.
After what felt like eons,
Finally, the skies open,
Millions of silver droplets,
Begin to dance on everything in sight.
They dance on vehicles on the street,
on the dusty and hot asphalt,
They manage to wash off
all the grime off the walls, roads and buildings.
Leaves begin to shine as if dusted with silver,
Walls glisten, as if painted with glitter .....

Everywhere the eye can see,
There is the mark of little dancing drops,
On the walkway outside my window,
They dance an exhilarating dreamy waltz,
Dancing circles,
Mingling and flowing together,
To the vast ocean to join in glee,
To make frothy waves,
That kiss the golden sands
That lay open to the skies, all day long....
